Evaluation by a SAP: A qualified SAP evaluates the driver to determine the appropriate course of action.
Treatment and Education: Based on the SAP&rsquo;s recommendations, the driver may need to undergo treatment or education programs.
Follow-up Testing: The driver must pass a return-to-duty drug and/or alcohol test before resuming safety-sensitive duties.
Ongoing Monitoring: The driver may be subject to unannounced follow-up testing for up to five years.
